ian1964 10,626 Posted September 16, 2011 Share Posted September 16, 2011 Lifted from FF: As most people are aware The Stadium Bar on Copland Road is being taken over and will now be known as The Louden: Ibrox Stadium. The original date for the takeover was 1st November, but now has been brought forward to Monday 19th September! We will be renovating the bar area immediately, and although not fully complete we will be opening for the Kilmarnock home game on Tuesday 27th September and Saturday 1st October for the Hibernian match. Although, initially, the decor in the bar will not be up to the standards normally associated with The Louden name â?? we can assure everyone that this is a temporary situation that will be rectified in the very near future and in an ongoing basis. Unfortunately, for the near future, there will be no children allowed within the premises. Also there will be no car parking at the rear of the Pub. Although, having never been in The Stadium Bar before a home game, I have listened to the criticism levelled at it by our supporters and have taken action to rectify these concerns. These include: 32 fonts installed in the bar area (of which 16 are Lager) for quickest possible service. Drinks served in real glasses (as opposed to the ridiculous plastic tumblers our fans were forced to endure). When fully operational â?? we will have 96 x 1.5L of spirits on the gantry in the bar area (24 previously) to ensure reduced waiting times. Weâ??ll have 12 double fronted fridges and 4 beer dumps which will give us 100 cases of chilled bottled beer (so no one will be forced to have a warm bottle of beer). We will be installing in the region of 10 widescreen TVs in the bar area for optimum matchday viewing. We will be installing a state of the art sound system, but with traditional music â?? To bring The Louden matchday experience to The Home of Fantasy Football. There will 32 camera CCTV system installed, covering interior, exterior and the immediate street over to the subway for our patrons safety. Also there will be a proper level of stewarding for the duration of opening hours in operations Finally, there will be an appropriate level of staff to facilitate the amount of fonts we have available . At long last we believe there will be a Rangers Supporters Pub within the vicinity of Ibrox Stadium that will be worthy of our fans. We will keep everyone informed as progress continues.
