Rangers fail to pay £35k law firm bill

Recommended Posts

Says some lawyer who acted against us. Well well.

A little bit above that it is actually stated that Whyte wanted to double check on the issue ere paying anything. Since he's been quite busy of late - I mean, he's not just owning us, but has other things to run as well - not least with HMRC, there were bound to be delays. IMHO just a new attempt at shyte-stirring.

We keep saying it is just shite-stirring, until something else happens.

They took it to court because they wanted to be sure of getting the money.

What if someone else does the same, then another. It is not the way to run Rangers.

He said that after last week's hearing there had been discussions between the two sides which, by Wednesday, had led to an undertaking to pay up, with interest.

"Bank account details were asked for and given," he added.

However, Mr Brown said the money had not appeared and there was no explanation for that.

Any fault, he suggested, lay with London-based solicitor Gary Withey who is Rangers' company secretary.

Legal costs

Mr Brown said: "There then followed a frantic out-of-hours series of events... with the benefit of the delay here today, for which parties are grateful, funds were telegraphically transferred this morning."

As well as interest on the £35,000, Rangers will also have to pay a fee of £100 and the costs of the court action, which is still to be decided but believed to be about £5,000.

Lord Hodge commented that it was unusual for a judge to be so involved in over-seeing an agreement and Mr Brown told him: "There is a real concern about solvency

Again why are some Rangers fans so quick to believe anybody but their own club if you read the story Whyte knew nothing about it asked for time to check the details did so instructed the bill to be paid some lawyer was a day late paying and L&M went to court and told lies about our cash-flow.

You all better wise up there are going to be a lot more of these stories as Wyhte works his way through the absolute mess that Murray left us in.

Because they are looking over every contract and bill that came across Bains desk the reason he no longer there I would say, everybody being asked to be patient they will be paid when everything is checked. Why pay a bill when you think something is wrong I wouldn't do it, neither would anyone else get everything checked if you have to pay a little more so be it.

Instead of giving it hard to Whyte is should show the shambles he has been left with after years of mismanagement by Murray and the bald model.

Well all of the SPL is skint but if we where on our ass Jela and Davis would have went. The money for the small tax case is there waiting to be paid it's the penalty money he won't pay been in similar situ where the money sits in an account until the case is heard and the judge decides who gets what have to remember it was Whyte that found this tax bill so why would he not pay it.

The other story is the big tax bill if we lose that one I don't doubt for a minute that Whyte will fold us up what happens then you will need a top account to tell you.

My anger for the last regime is growing day by day these are the pricks that sat in that directors box year after year and let us get into this mess that is where the fans anger should be directed.
