Would be happy if he missed the Utd game to ensure he's fit for the Celtic game the following week. If he is injured then rest him, get the injury cleared up and then play him once he's fully recovered. These painkilling injections don't cure injuries, they simply mask the pain and discomfort. They do more damage than good! We've messed up before regarding these pain killing injections and I can see it happening again. Even if he has taken pain killers it might not be a bad injury and i'm sure he will get the best treatment to make sure he's available for the weekend and beyond. Every game is a big game and Utd is always a hard game for us.
