Whatever happened to losing as a team?

Recommended Posts

You know, the old phrase, you win as a team and you lose as a team.

In Aberdeen's case it's you win as a team and you lose as Ricky Foster.

Not content with the club's own supporters booing his captain, manager Craig Brown stuck the Black and Decker in and twisted a little more when he blamed Foster for the club's defeat to Celtic.

Craig Brown was in no mood to forgive Richard Foster for the "suicide" he believes handed Celtic an undeserved 1-0 victory over Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

The Dons manager said that the defender believes he was fouled in the lead up to Anthony Stokes' winner.

"I think Richard Foster would admit that the extra touch he took on to his stronger leg allowed him to be dispossessed," said Brown.

"It is disappointing to commit suicide the way we did."

He might, MIGHT think and say this to the player in private, but publicly hanging your captain like this when he's having a hard time being booed by the club's fans is some of the worst man management I think I've ever seen.

I wish I had taken Aberdeen to come bottom this year again.

I really would like to see them out of the SPL, but no doubt if they come bottom, there will suddenly be an emergency reconstruction of the league, just like it happened the last time they came bottom.
