This time last year, I was seated in the Mzouda Cafe, Elderslie Street, Glasgow. In walked Bougherra with a mate and sat at a table opposite.

He ordered Moroccan Hummus. I cannot blame the chap, the Moroccan stuff contains both onion and cumin, truly wonderful accompanied with a glass(or two) of Cellier Meknes riad Jamil Ben M'Tir. Now, I believe Algerian Hummus contains crushed sesame seeds, basically ersatz Italian Hummus with it's crushed pine nuts. Oh, and Algerian wine is true gutrot, high alcohol and flavours of over ripe fruit.

Truly, on this basis, I believe Madjid to be a Moroccan.

I agree with the idea of let's move on guys, but I was just replying to Danny's post with my own opinion.

Even if you don't agree with me, you can't seriously say it's normal to see a green and white flag at an Ibrox title party. If Madjid had ran around Ibrox with the flag of his country of birth it would have been a red, white & blue flag. Maybe that would have been more appropriate.

Do you also criticise the guys who turn up to games in Green Northern ireland tops? :)

I don't see the problem in what Bougherra did.

On the subject of Bougherra, here's his reasons for joining the Qatar side (which includes life story):

“Football in the Middle East is evolving quicker than people think. It is true it is not on the same level as Europe, but I know the goal of the Qataris is to eventually make it as close to that standard as possible.

“In the past, they would sign star players who were coming to the end of their careers. Now they want to sign younger players.

"We must not be hypocrites either. When the doors of the big clubs in Europe are closed because of their networks, what should we do?

“I came late into football. I was doing a computing qualification and I worked at the weekends like everyone else. I know where I come from. If at that time I was told I could have earned as much I can in Qatar, I would have said yes immediately.”

Translated = 'I couldn't get a move to a decent team, and they (Lekhwiya) not only were the only ones interested, but they gave me a shitload of cash too'.

Which is fair enough. At least he is honest about it.

Maybe it is just me but I fail to see what the Algerian flag has to do with our hatred of all things Celtic (though given Danny's OP some would say they fail to see wht it has to do with Boughherra either....)

The Algerian flag has been seen in amongst the Rangers support at title party celebrations - I just dont see what the issue is.

Bang on the money. People are far to easily wound up and put to much thought into some things.

I have a pair of grey and green boxer shorts. Does that mean I somehow like Celtic?
