Anti-sectarian initiative police out in force tomorrow!

Recommended Posts

The fans working group have asked me pass in that the new anti-sectarian initiative of Strathclyde Police will be in attendance at both of our upcoming matches at Perth on Saturday and Inverness on August 13th.

We are under the microscope just now, especially so now that some focus is being given to Celtic's IRA singing and their fans will be desperate to get us into the spotlight as well.

In addition to this, we understand that as part of this new Police effort, targeting of travelling buses will be stepped up on the routes to the matches looking for drinking on the buses.

Please be extra vigilant in these next couple of matches, and remind your members how important this is to the club we love.

Let's keep the attention on other clubs - not Rangers.

I've heard it's like the highland clearances again, the Polis are all away down in England earning mountains of cash in overtime because of the riots. Sectarian singing can take a back seat this week there's money to be made elsewhere.

HA!HA!,and the English polis will be singing why don't you go home?.

We still need to be cautious as it appears our fans are under more scrutiny than most

Just out of interest, have any figures come out about arrests or even "offences" against this new unwritten law after the recent IRA-okes by our hooped neighbours?

The real point remains that unless there is no "fixed" list of songs that can be aired without problem, it will be at the whim of the police and their match day commander to judge something inapproriate.
