Zappa 0
Released by Newcastle, surely would be a good addition to the squad?? Here was me thinking you'd make a good scout for us in Buenos Aires. Not so sure now!
bmck 117
Alan Smith was an excellent player who really had everything. Never quite fullfilled his potential but still, nonetheless, a genuinly quality player. Perhaps just a bit past it now. Would depend on his willingness to take low wages and fight for a place. I'm copy and pasting the above to store it for next year's inevitable thread
Bluedell 5,627
“Good Gers Man” LOL, he wore a strip in Disney World in Florida (one of the many he wore on that holiday) and people made him a “Gers man” Mental. he has said he looks out for us but that’s it He was in Manchester with a Gers scarf round each wrist. Bit more than just looking out for us, although I wouldn't put him in the die-hard category.

More of a fan than a disney holiday photo that you say IMO

Didnt you post this 3 years ago also? Never been the same player after his bad leg break. He peaked at Leeds, was ok for Man Utd and barely been noticed at Newcastle. If he is fit and would take a decent wage he might be an ok signing for 1 season, would be better than Beattie anyway. But as someone said he would be picking up a lot of bookings.
