I am a fan of the 3-5-2 as well Gribz but I have to say that the "3" wouldn't instill me with ANY confidence at all. I thought it was funny As for the 3 at the back, Papac looks a solid buy, J Rod can/will come good, he was good last season, and i think Svensson just needs time. A good solid scottish centre half like Eck, Miller and Gough is far and thick between these days.
