I remember a game against Dun Utd getting postponed for the undersoil heating springing a leak, many years ago now. Rangers claimed 30,000 pies were handed to various mens hostels to feed the homeless and the like. The question is, how many of that 30,000 didn't Ally claim???

Is that maybe the same game that Martin Bain was talking about in the Walter Smith tribute the BBC did?

Couldn't tell you Zappa. The game I'm talking about I can't even remember hearing the name Bain. It was in the 90's some time during the 9iar though.

Aye, this was in the 90's. It was an anecdote from Martin Bain about the first time he met Walter. He was new in the job and told to go and speak to Walter about getting a player to help him take pies to the Salvation Army.
