Rangers Scouting System

That may be so over there. Isnt so over here. You can be in the country no longer than 3 weeks without a permit.

That said, I suspect that somewhere like Bermuda is the exception rather than the norm.

A game if football is 90 mins, tsake a day either side for traveling in and out................

I'm not so sure that work permits should even be an issue in general with that idea Craig because I'm thinking along the lines of people who already live and work in these countries giving up their current jobs to become a Rangers scout. They needn't necessarily have coaching badges or coaching experience either, although that might prove to be an advantage. I say that because you could easily have someone with no coaching badges and no coaching experience who's better at spotting good players than someone with some badges and some relatively limited coaching experience.

I'd cover south east asia.

Jog on, thats my job. :box: ;)

but the standard here isnt the greatest, I'll take Japan and Korea which is pretty decent. I often watch some of the games from their leagues, the crowds are massive.

It isnt that easy Zappa. take America for example. If you live and work there as an ex-pat then it is highly likely you are on a VISA. If you quit your job you need another job to move to, and it cant necessarily be just any employer. You wont get a permit for an employer without a proper presence.

Take Bermuda. If I quit my job tomorrow, I would have my notice period in which to find another job otherwise I am gone. And it isnt as easy as just saying that Rangers have a job for me. You have to go through an immigration process and there is every chance it could be rejected. You also have to have relevant experience, and "I'm a fan" isnt relevant, suitable experience. Pretty sure the US is the same in that regard but cant speak to other jurisdictions.

As i say, part-time jobs works OK. Full-time ones not necessarily so.

Not pissing on your parade but just highlighting some of the issues that may arise out of this.

With all due respect I actually question the ability of an ordinary street fan to be able to judge on just how good a player is. We all think we are good judges and we all think sometimes that we are better managers than the real managers but to be honest it is like someone with a collage certificate trying to do a job at masters degree level. Having ex prof footballers covering professional youth leagues is the only way to do it in my eyes. I have said many times on here the idea of a Rangers supporter or Rangers Scouts covering every park in Asia and picking up a Gem that the local youth system has missed is an absolute pipe dream.
