It's all about 'defiance', identifying with a manager who supposedly symbolises them. He's a pariah to them, which for them is their status too. But it would be no lie to point out they were a much greater threat under him than the likes of Mowbray and WGS by the end of his time there. Overall in OF matches they had the slight edge, with 3 wins to our 2, and 2 draws. So while I'm glad they're more obsessed with being persecuted and defying it thanks to their glorious manager, they'll be a tough team to win the league against with him in charge next season. Pumped oot the SC by Ross County 2. Beaten by, according to almost everyone, an inferior Rangers squad in the League Cup 3. As per 2 but replace League Cup for League. 4. Having spent a ton of cash with the only saving grace being the sale of McGeady, who Lennon had no control over bringing to the club in the first place. OK, he did sign Izaguirre who looks like a player. But Ledley, Juarez et al havent set the game alight and they cost a chunk of change. 1 mill for that ? Celtic are in freefall...they had Lennon there already when the board opted for Mowbray, now they've decided to pay him 1mill. why? Not because he won them a Scottish cup, it's because the support have bought into him due to his rantings and ravings about the 'establishment' and all that shite stuff - he 'connects' with the fans....anything that sells bums on seats.
