You are either left wing and socialist, or you are Catholic / Christian. Guest Dutchy Posted June 18, 2011 Share Posted June 18, 2011 Unfortunately, the Labour party has been high-jacked by far too many catholics, hence the assosiation of left wing politics and catholism. Most right wing states are, in the main, catholic countries and indeed facism was born of Italy with the help of the catholic church. I must say, as a left wing thinker myself, I don't like Leggo's continual harping about left wing politics in the same sentance as catholicism. But just because one SNP MSP talks in the manner that Cunningham has reported to have done, does not mean that the SNP are particulary catholic supporting. They're mainly interested in fairness for the Scottish people and if they are found out to be pandering to the anti-catholic moaners, they will be found out and lose in the next election, sharply. Maybe 2 years, or so. lol GovanAllan: You can say what you think about politics in this country, but I'd say the SNP are the most concerned party with the Scottish people at it's heart. It's true there are many types within that party, and there is a great much of praise of similar, so called, Keltic countries, but I doubt wheather that is an indication that we're all going to be suddenly ruled from Rome. I for one would rather have more control over the way the assets of this country, instead ofthem being contiually being frittered away on Londump.
