I Am new here so can't comment on that. I was banned from Follow Follow after 1 post, after a few emails back and forth I was un-banned. I decided not to use that site. It's an extreme and rather right wing site. It's the kind of site which would ban anyone for not following a particular consensus. I have been on Rangers Media (RM) for a few years now I like it but I think it has a very young demographic. I'm old (39) I feel on RM there is a lot of hyperbole and massive swings in opinion. For example after the Kaunas game if you were for Smith in any way you were getting abused slagged and the punctuation police were after you. At the end of the season Smith won the league and if you were against him then you got the same as the aforementioned. I took part in neither. That summer (2008) was the point of no return for RM - it became a very messy and scattered forum, and I tried to stop it becoming that way but the powers that be are and were more interested in bandwidth and traffic than the quality of posts. It's generally a badly moderated forum, not because the mods are poor, but because the admin and a couple in particular have set the place up badly in recent years. I accept that I’m in the minority regarding Smith. This has been my first thread on this site I wanted to see what people felt about things and how somebody who is new and holds a minority position would be treated. Very well I may add. Thanks for the reply. The only minority opinions I have no time for are those which insult me or other supporters for holding a particular view. I don't mind what you say, as long as it respects me and those who think like me, just like I respect those who have different opinions to me. I was really disturbed by my treatment there. I stood my ground with the guy in charge and as soon as I was reinstated I chose never to go back. I have read lots of similar posts about Ã?£Ã?£ on RM so I know that sadly I was not a sole case. I'm awake at strange hours When Whyte took over I posted a link on RM to the first newspaper story that had quotes in it. I looked on the thread a few times and after a few posts about the quotes the thread turned into a slagging match between 6 or so people. They were not debating Whyte they were arguing about whether Nike or Umbro made better shirts. That was pretty much the end for me. I have no idea why people need to be disrespectful online. We have both conceded points regarding Smith. We both have our thoughts and our positions. I was never going to try and change anybody’s mind. I just wanted to see what people thought and see what the reaction would be. I think we both can guess what the reaction would be if I had posted on Ã?£Ã?£ and RM. The reason for this probably IS because it's small. The bigger these forums get, the more baggage comes with it and you end up with a bit of a mess. RM wasn't always like it currently is. I can't really speak for FF. I think you also have to add that the Gersnet allows everyone to have an opinion even if we do not all agree. Obviously if you have an outspoken opinion it will be challenged but as long as it is debated in a civil manner then you are free to speak your mind.
