Aston Villa, Chelsea, Fulham, West Ham, Cardiff (not that thats important :P )

Fulham have got a good appointment in Jol. Probably better than Hughes IMO, will certainly try play better football.

Villa seem likely to go for Benitez. Chairman Learner read the negative response from Villa forum fans about McClaren and cancelled his interview. Seems a tad harsh! McClaren is someone id certainly take as next Gers boss. He made mistakes in the england job but bar that has been quite good.

West Ham - Allardyce. If we were in the Premier league id pull my teeth out at this, but as a stability appointment its the best one. His drive and desire should be enough to win promotion. Going down worked well for Newcastle.

I just don't like Jol and Allardyce they come across to me as "I know and will do it my way" type of people. I think both their reputations are bigger than their deeds.

I just can't understand how Allerdyce contiues to get top jobs??? I did feel sorry for the way Spurs treated Jol, and he seemed to be OK with them. Let's see how he gets on with Fulham.

McClaren had almost god like status in Holland with Twente, but he buggered off to Wolsburg and almost had them demoted after them winning the Bundesliga. That's what the Villa fans must have been concentrating on.

Unless there's an umberlla organistion of Villa fans that don't like the way he handles their equipment!!!

I seem to remember Allerdyce getting touted for the England job a few years ago. As for McClaren I know a lot of Middlesborough fans who were delighted when he left.

Allerdyce hasn't done anything of note that I know of and yet he still gets work?

I don't remember much about the Middlesborough fans opinions, but I do remember him getting high praise for taking a club like Middlesborough to such high hieghts, which was one of the reasons he got the England job. Of course, because Engalnd are not as good as the media think they are, they then decided to attack McClaren. Usual stuff really and now they scream and shout about an overpaid Italian, working with the same standard of players, so the toute Allaerdyce.

I wouldn't mind getting as far as the English on a regular basis in the top competitions, but maybe Levein will change our dismal record over the last 12, 13, and counting years for qualifying.

McClaren was also rated high as a No.2 at Man Utd. He took Boro to the UEFA cup final plus what he did at Twente was good.

Im not a fan of Allardyce as a mid Prem club but for some reason I think he is the right appointment for West Ham. If WH keep a core of good players Allardyces solid defenisve football could be what gets the 'Ammers back up.
