biggordy 0 Posted June 6, 2011 Share Posted June 6, 2011 Dutchy, I don't care for folk dismissing what I say, or indeed do out of hand without some kind of consideration. I am fully aware that the democratically elected government of one country has no say in another's business but it can exert influence within it. The celtic shirt wearing MSP is only one example which comes to mind and we know there are many more undeclared. Do you agree ? The point here is this; the Irish Government responded to one of it's electorate, bhaine, and thought his complaint valid enough to contact the appropriate Minister in our Government who responded. Meanwhile, I have contacted MANY officials in my government who have all so far ignored my complaint. What's going on ? Anyway, I want no more involvement in our "disagreement" or whatever it is. Guest Dutchy Posted June 6, 2011 Share Posted June 6, 2011 Fair enough biggordy, I just put a proposal forward that we can looby our politicians with, namely, to try and introduce a system of secularism in Scotland, similar to the French. I'm fully aware that it would not be an 'exact' copy, due to cultural and indeed financial considerations. Financial consideration to the catholic church in the main as the state does not fund religious education, under a secular system. Anyway, try posting a letter as I'm sure they have more trouble ignoring a letter than an email.
