Yes, but Barca were immortal before they signed him. It's those 3 who make the real difference.

 

I wouldn't argue with that mate. Just pointing out that Villa has become an integral and important part of their team too. Plenty of cracking players have gone to Barca and flopped or not done as well as expected, but Villa is truly world class and deserving of being in their squad. 23 or 24 goals in 47 or 48 games in all comps for Barca this season, so no slouch by any means.

He's a great player, but he was exceptional for Valencia too and they were just a very good team, no more. Villa's fit in well at Barca, but their fortunes wouldn't suffer badly without him such is the influence of the big 3.

Maybe you're right, but I see him as one of Barca's best players. He's only 29 and he's Spain's all time top goal scorer having scored more goals in six years than Raul did in ten. The fact that he plays with so many of the Barca players including 2 of your 'big 3' in the Spanish squad also locks him in as a key member of the current Barca team IMO. At 29 you'd have to think there's more to come from the guy as well.
