Birmingham release a host of players

Recommended Posts

Some more than reasonable players but all on huge weekly wages that we can't afford.

The English market is not good value for money for the most part.

Totally agree. The best value we can get from the EPL is good quality younger players on loan such as Weiss and Bartley who I thought were very good signings.

Pires is 37 and not exactly full of pace would struggle in the 100mph SPL.

Reo-Coker is Napoli bound :P

Carew would have been alright had he signed ages ago, not now. He might end up at Stoke as he would suit their style unless they didn't take the offer to sign him up?

Lets hope there is no friendship clique going on with Ally to bring BF back to Rangers. Maurice Edu and big Lee may not be perfect but at least they are team players and not big headed arrogant players(being polite) that think they are a class better than everyone else. In a forward position BF could not get anywhere near Stevie Naismith and lying deeper, Barry looking in a mirror to check that his hair is in position before passing is not the road we want to go back to.

I am starting my own we petition.

NO BARRY FERGUSON AT IBROX!!!!!:admin:

I thought Carew signed for Stoke in January.

I think Barry's time at Ibrox is a thing of the past. I'd be beyond shocked if he moved. He'll probably be happy to play out his career for Birmingham.

I'd agree, but we've made quite a few Premiership signings in the past 5 seasons; Davis, Mendes, Weir, Ehiogu, Beattie. Not all brilliant but EPL calibre. There are players to be had - just a matter of negotiating reasonable wages.

Not often I agree with you (:P) but you raise a good point there. Shows we can attract reasonable quality from the EPL (Beattie aside??).
