The strange thing about this is we've got protocols for postponing matches, yet we don't even know if there will be 10 or 12 teams in the league. I assume it will be 12 still as the SFA have packeaged the vote to include 'everything', or nothing and a lot of clubs are unhappy with that.

So we're still going to have a break after 33 games, witch in my opinion is the most laughable aspect of the SPL.

According to Andrew Dickson (the guy who does RTV and the Rangers News) every team in the SPL are entitled to postpone one week of fixtures because Celtic had agreed to playing in the Dublin Cup prior to the new SPL start date.

Despite the fact I really enjoyed the game last time, I would much rather get on with SPL and get that wee bit of an advantage with them chasing us in the league early on. Will still go though :)

If we had the right, I guess we're taking financial advantage of it. Which is fair enough.

Oh, and welcome to the board :)

This isnt a bad idea though. If we have any ring rust at the start of the season, and if AM is still looking to work out his best formation, personnel and tactics, then this friendly gives us a non-competitive game, after the season has started, to do some tweaking.

Just a shame it isnt a couple weeks before whilst I am home.
