Super_Ally 0 Posted May 19, 2011 Share Posted May 19, 2011 Its got a lot better in recent years with Platini's new qualifying systems with the likes of Zilna and Debrecen getting into the group stages. Its still a monopoly for the big leagues. I think Platini is a bit of a numpty president but he has made it fairer sort of for provincial champions of their league, like us. We're normally around the 12/3th ranked league down to a low of around 15/6 at the minute. Does it not make more sense to allow at least the top 16 ranked leagues to have their champs qualify directly and then you have at least half the competitions participants as Champions. metlika 0 Posted May 19, 2011 Share Posted May 19, 2011 Platini apparently wants English, Spanish and Italian (Might be German now) teams to only have 3 team maximum but he wasn't allowed. It is sickening that 3 English teams get direct entry to the competition as well as Spanish and Italian.
