Will Walter want to have another go at the Premiership?

Recommended Posts

With his stock sky high again after winning 8 trophies including 3 titles in 4 years plus a UEFA cup final, not to mention the only team to stop Man U scoring at home all season in a creditable 1-0 aggregate loss in the CL, all while having little money to spend, Walter will no doubt be on the minds of a few Premiership chairmen in the close season.

Do you think that he may feel he has a point to prove there after being totally undermined by the board at Everton leaving him with a less than salubrious record in England?

Or how about a relegated team like West Ham who will have a parachute payment plus a big fan base, to help them to quickly bounce back up to the top flight? There are also bound to be quite a few managerial casualties in the EPL after about 10 games or so into the season.

His words have been cryptic on the subject of his leaving Rangers and I've a feeling that's the options he'll be looking at.

Walter's said that if he was to take another job, why bother leaving Ibrox?

But he also added that he would consider any offers he was given. Otherwise he was happy to spend time with his family.

I don't think he will. He wouldn't want to risk harming his legendary status in British football by taking a job in the EPL and possibly getting the sack.

He'll retire with his head held high and a status only a few can match!

I'd like to see Craig Whyte offer him a seat on the new board of Directors and I'd like Walter to take that offer if he gets it. He would be the ideal man to represent the playing and coaching staff on the board.

He wanted to step out of the way of McCoist and was pissed off at the bank running things. Later he didn't want to back-track and let McCoist down. He did say that he was open to managing another team though I am sure.

i heard him on radio this morning. He mentioned something like "if the right offer came along. "

I think he'll be offered the England job after Capello.

And at £5m a year, I think he'll take it and do well
