We all complain about negative things but surely this portrays Rangers in a positive light. I agree. If we hadn't commented how long before it would have been turned into more anti-RFC bile. I'm not sure this wasn't a misguided statement. I'm working on the assumption that we've been asked to comment on the incident along with the arrests in Ayrshire as hinted at in the statement. To say nothing, in my opinion, would likely have been perceived negatively and would open us u to criticism over something that, as you say, didn't involve us.
