Zappa 0
Sky say it was a loan: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_6350439,00.html That was written by a woman!
Zappa 0
Purchased outright seems quite definite even for a google translation. Especially considering those are club statements and in the first one they mention Luis Jimenez was brought in on loan, then go on to say Benalouane was purchased. Zappa 0
According to a an article in the French 'le10sport' on 30th May Cesena still hadn't paid Saint-Etienne for Benalouane and Saint-Etienne have 'decided to bring complaints to the competent authorities to UEFA'. - http://www.le10sport.com/Mercato/Benalouane--Saint-Etienne-toujours-pas-paye-300547604.html
Zappa 0
The same French mob are one of the ones who reported on Tuesday that Benalouane still belongs to Saint-Etienne and mentioned the Rangers interest, so this is quite confusing. - http://www.le10sport.com/Football/Ligue1/ASSE--Riviere-vaut-8-millions-Benalouane-est-piste-070647950.html One thing which ISN'T confusing is that we won't be paying 8 million euros for anyone. Danny 0
He was quoted yesterday as saying that he left because he was told he had a chance to play for Spain but would need to move in order to do so. He now understands that being capped is unlikely. Yes, I've just read the quotes. Truth is we all know he left because he wanted to play for Spain. It was a betrayal, but one I'm willing to forgive as he did it for football reasons. And now wants to come back for football reasons.

craig 5,199
Yes, I've just read the quotes. Truth is we all know he left because he wanted to play for Spain. It was a betrayal, but one I'm willing to forgive as he did it for football reasons. And now wants to come back for football reasons. Yep, my take on it too. He certainly made the right noises with his quotes yesterday - seems he didnt really want to leave but had ambitions of playing for his national team but with those gone it seems he thinks fondly of his time at Gers and would be happy to come back. I would have him back, he is making all the right noises about why he left.
