Frankie 8,843
Some better comments from Dougal there. Essentially all of these people should just refuse to comment though then inconsistencies wouldn't happen.
Super_Ally 0
Former Grade One referee Stuart Dougal believes football rules prevented the Scottish Football Association handing a stiffer punishment to Madjid Bougherra. The opening gambit doesn't quite tie with what Dougal actually said. But Dougal says that the SFA's hands were tied as referee Calum Murray did not deem the action as aggressive. "Based on the criteria the disciplinary committee were working with, I don't think they have failed," Dougal told BBC Scotland. "If he as the referee viewed it as violent conduct, we are talking a whole different ball game. "He wasn't threatened, there was no violence and in his eyes there was no aggression towards him." Dougal's former referee colleague, Kenny Clark, warned that another referees' strike could result from the lack of action taken in such circumstances. He's not saying Bougherra got out on some technicality, as Lennon did. He's saying that Bougherra's conduct was not violent so the correct decision was taken.
calscot 0
Yeah it's saying that the SFA should be heavily punishing Rangers players but the fact they were innocent inconveniently got in the way...
Guest Dutchy
And it also seems to be forgotten that they did not indeed get off. Both players will have to serve a one match automatic ban as they were found guilty and also fined. Even thought there is little likelyhood that they will serve the ban as they both appear to be on their way come the summer and the ban is for the Scottish cup. This is also lost on a lot of septic fans, high profile or not, as they would have been hoping for Rangers FC to have even less players in the title run in, so as to improve their chances of winning it. But any ban would have made no diffirence to the up and coming league games. No doubt there could be another campaign about how unfair and useless the SFA are because septic wouldn't have gained anything by banning Rangers players. Other than to highten hatred against our club, possibily?
calscot 0
Sometimes I think that is their main motivation. Since 9IAR they've been doing everything they can to gain an advantage, and it hasn't stopped short of cheating. It's from top to bottom via the board, the manager and a somehow completely unrelated QC. They really are the most despicable club who revel in their nefarious ways.
