He did serve it according to the rules - it was just served concurrently due to to McBride's input. How can you serve a ban when you don't miss any additional games? Zappa 0 Posted April 13, 2011 Share Posted April 13, 2011 He initially got a 6 match ban, appealed it and got it reduced to 4. After only serving 1 of the 4 match ban he got another 4 match ban and McBride convinced the SFA that according to the wording in their rules the two 4 match bans should run concurrently, in otherwords that they should overlap. The outcome is that after being given bans amounting to 10 matches, Lennon only served a 5 match ban. It's worth noting that Eric Riley, while a director at both Celtic and the SFA, was actually THE Chairman of the committee which overhauled the disciplinary rules back in 2007.
