metlika 0
The Buffon transfer was back in 2001. Of course the chances of outfield player moving on for more money than a GK is increased as there's more of them. Italian transfers went nuts in the early part of the 2000's. Lazio were spending big on Claudio Lopez and Mendieta were ones that they spent a fortune on and they are still paying the price, maybe not so much now.

pete 2,511
Goodwilliam supposed to have scored goal of the season yesterday for Utd. I don't know if it was the goal of the season but he did score with a lovely overhead kick.
MoodyBlue 0
I do think that McGregor will look to move in the summer. His agent indicated last summer that his player was looking for 'new challenges'. I'd be shocked if he's still with us come 1st Sept.

I don't think you'll find many arguments with that assessment mate.
Frankie 8,892
I'd imagine that even if McGregor wanted to stay, he'll still be sold to free up finance for: a) new players if we win the league and qualify for the CL or b) reduce the debt if we lose the league and/or don't qualify for the CL. I'd hope we'd get more than £4million for the lad but another meek surrender in the transfer market won't surprise me.
maineflyer 0
If we can't get the figure we want for McGregor, perhaps we could strengthen our squad by offering to throw Edu in for nothing?
Zappa 0
If we can't get the figure we want for McGregor, perhaps we could strengthen our squad by offering to throw Edu in for nothing? Why would anyone want Edu though? Throwing Edu into a McGregor deal is more likely to be a deal-breaker than a deal-maker.

Some to carry the goalkeeper's bag perhaps, clean the dressing room after a game, that sort of thing?

Edu could be the guy who makes the coffee for the guy (Whittaker) who makes the tea.
