Weir contemplates another season

Not a single post in favour of him playing on. Not hard to see why.

 

tbh he did ok tonight, but he had 2 pacey defenders to back him up and bail him out. He was flat on his heels so often.

 

I doubt there's a single supporter who wants Weir on the playing staff next season. It would be a huge mistake to keep him on in that capacity.

I thought he was excellent tonight again,it's ok saying he was being helped out with the other defenders,but he was helping them out as well. I do agree we should be looking to replace him next season thought

No deal! Hopefully Davie chucks it and we can hold on to Bed and Breakfast for next season.

This thread feels a bit like Harry Enfield's "Self Righteous Brothers" - "if David Weir plays another season for Rangers and then eats my season ticket, I'd say, 'Oi! Sir David! No! You're too old to do the fancy footwork in the Rangers defence and season tickets are not nutritionally beneficial for professional sportsman etc."

 

It's not going to happen and he's still doing a not bad job this season. Let him retire with dignity in the summer.
