You would hope so but any decent agent would try to limit that kind of clause to prevent barriers to his client moving. Nothing in that new contract will prevent him leaving in the summer if someone wants to make a decent offer, as per Danny Wilson. It does show the player is committed to the club and with a player tied down to a reasonable length of contract we can hopefully take a reasonable sum if indeed a club shows interest. Why wouldn't he be committed he wouldn't have signed on again or in the first place.
