gisabeer 409
In kyle Lafferty. Quite frankly I just dont see anything that would make me want to pick him in any squad never mind Rangers. As a striker he lacks the most basic abilities. He has a poor first touch, is a poor finisher and a distinct lack of composure in front of goal. But Smith continually selects him. Hes has plenty of chances to prove himself but with every passing game he just gets worse. We often comment in here that were playing with ten men with him in the side. I would really love to know why Smith still picks him. I really cant see it my self.
Gazza_8 233
Hopefully he's picking him to put him in the shop window. The only probelm with that is he's playing pish and if there are any clubs watching him they'll have been put off with his dire performances.
Guest puk
Very simple, not to pick him would mean Walter having to own up to another transfer fiasco.
Totti 0
What does he see? Not very much, evidently.
Danny 0
Another lynch Lafferty thread. Didn't see this posted after the Killie cup game. Yes, he had an off night, but so did Davis, Papac and Whittaker bar his goal. Why is it Lafferty who gets it in the neck more than any other player. I know he's hot and cold, but he seems to grab more ire from the fans than any other player by a mile.

He has been a shocking buy end off, i would go as far as saying one of the worst ever due to high fee and wages.
bmck 117
Lafferty is realyl, really young. He's shit just now, but there's enough there. We just can't afford to give him time.
Gazza_8 233
Lafferty is realyl, really young. He's shit just now, but there's enough there. We just can't afford to give him time. Playing one good game every 5 or 6 is maybe good enough for you or maybe you see something in those games that make you think he's a good player but in the games he doesn't play well he really is shit and these games are far more often. He's had 3 seasons to come good and with every passing season he seems to be getting worse. Also, Ness is really young too but he's done more in the games he's played than Lafferty has done in hs entire Rangers career. Because Davis, Papac and Whittaker have probably brought more to the club than Lafferty.
maineflyer 0
Can't really see where this non-stop criticism of Lafferty comes from. Players like Davis and the endlessly disappointing Whittaker deserve a whole lot more for some of their displays this season. Davis has shown in the past he CAN do it but has been an idle little twat for most of this season and as often as not contributes diddly. Beyond the bandwagon stuff, Lafferty has actually seldom been the worst Rangers player on the park.
