Another week removed from our fixture calendar

Yet again it looks like we've got an international friendly removing a week from our fixture calendar before the SPL split. Scotland are set to play Brazil at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday 27th March and any Rangers players in the squad will fly out to Spain for a five-day training camp at the prestigious La Manga resort in Spain.

 

This is a week where we could have played a couple of fixtures, one midweek and one the weekend of this international friendly. Instead of that, we've got a pointless international taking a week off us and leaving us no doubt in a situation where we'll be asked to play 4 games in 8 days or some other moronic example of fairness.

That weekend is a Euro 2012 fixture weekend, so it was already on the cards that it would be a blank week.

 

Would have been nice to play a fixture or two but it is listed as an international weekend.

If I was Walter Smith I would remove all my players from a pointless international friendly at such a crucial point of the season. The sfa can go fuck themselves.
