Could have been his attitude pete, but equally could have been that his love for the club meant he didnt trust hiw own team-mates (who, lets face it, were mediocre in the latter years of his second stint) - the problem being that it was also to the detriment of his own form, sadly !

Possibly Craig but the fact still remains that he was not helping Rangers win leagues and that is what it is all about at Rangers.

Couldnt agree more pete.

It really is quite simple. It was best for BF that he left. It was best for Rangers that he left. It really is that simple.

All the other "we sold ourselves short" arguments are nigh on irrelevant because both parties needed a clean break.

The fact he is performing at a high level now suggests he had plenty left in the tank - but that doesnt mean we got less than market value - his performances in his last season with us were, IMO, less than mediocre - so we got exactly what we should for an under-performing player. Similar, IMO, to Charlie Adam.

If Adam played for Celtic they would have got much more.

Surely the relevant debate here are why our management were incapable of getting anything out of two top players.

Not necessarily. It could also come down to player's attitudes. And many, many managers have struggled to get the appropriate attitude from players, WS is certainly not alone in that regard.

So neither Ferguson nor Adam wanted to succeed at Rangers?

You think Adam wanted to go to a team who were at the time likely relegation candidates in the championship? Sorry but when 2 players go from SPL wasters to premiership stars questions need asked

But those questions that need asked dont only need to be asked of the management team but also of the players themselves.

Or are you suggesting that their mediocre performances were SOLELY down to the club management ? I dont buy that to be honest.

Pretty much.

Sorry but when you don't go from complete shit to destroying man utd and being possibly the most consistent player in the EPL just because of change in attitude.

He didn't destroy Man Utd. His set pieces caused them problems.

He was just about anonymous in the 2nd half.
