Bullish Bougherra in derby vow.

Recommended Posts

Rangers defender Madjid Bougherra has firmly backed the champions to rise to the occasion when Celtic visit Ibrox on Sunday.

Neil Lennons side moved top of the Scottish Premier League last night with a 1-0 win over Motherwell while Rangers were again victims of the weather as their match with St Johnstone was postponed.

The Gers are one point behind their Glasgow rivals, but they now have two games in hand.

And Bougherra, right, insists the Light Blues will go all out for victory as they look to put themselves in pole position once again in the race for the title.

ââ?¬Å?Of course, this is the kind of game you have to win for the fans,ââ?¬Â he told Blues News. ââ?¬Å?At the end of the game, if we have a draw it will be good for us, but if we win it is better.

ââ?¬Å?You canââ?¬â?¢t go into this game and say ââ?¬Ë?we will take a drawââ?¬â?¢, it is impossible. The spirit is too high to think about a draw so the team will go and give everything to win.ââ?¬Â

He added: ââ?¬Å?In the first three months, in every game we started very badly but we have the mentality to keep working and to want to win the game.

ââ?¬Å?We have the same team from the last two years, we know each other and we all have the same mentality. I am very confident about Sunday.ââ?¬Â:boogie:

Meanwhile, Kyle Lafferty played in a bounce game against Morton yesterday to put himself in contention for the derby match after six weeks out with a broken finger.
