Surely the memorial plaque could be cleaned up?

 

Should really be replaced with a nice new one, one made from a base metal which doesn't rust and can be polished to a high sheen. Wouldn't cost that much.

Some crackin' photos there Willie.

I particularly like the last one of the statue and stand logo, makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

On another note, do you know if the banners on the screens will be a permanent feature or just for the ne'erday game?

 

I think that they will be there until the screens are fixed/replaced.

 

My information is that the replacing of the screens has been authorised but I'm not sure about the timing.

Brings back terrible memories. Much as we rightly take pride in these memorials, the event itself was brutal and truly dreadful and it takes some effort to bring it back to mind.
