Rangers line up bid for Leeds midfielder Brad

Published 23:00 17/12/10 By Football Spy

Rangers are set to launch a bid for Leeds midfielder Bradley Johnson in January.

The 23-year-old has attracted interest from Stoke, Wigan and Bolton but the Scottish champions now look ready to put in a first offer.

Contract negotiations between Johnson and Leeds have broken down and he could be available for less than £500,000.

With his current deal expiring at the end of the season, it means the Championship side could decide to cash in rather than lose him for free.

Johnson is understood to be enthusiastic on a move to the Premier League but would consider heading to Scotland if it brought him the chance of Champions League football.

Leeds put the ambitious midfielder on the transfer list after he rejected a new contract but Johnson has insisted he is fully committed while at the club.

No idea who he is but it's the sort of market we should be looking in more, rather than shitty players at pish spl clubs.

Only thing is any young player in the lower leagues capable of doing 2 keepy ups quickly goes to mid table epl clubs
