craig 5,199
I think if there is 1 thing McCoist will bring in and do differentially it will be to have the guys go out there with a better attitude before kick off. He will have them fired up. But McCoist is part of the management team that is already, apparently, accepting the way that we are starting matches. What makes you think that him being the manager will make it any different. The only thing that will change is that WS steps down - I dont think that will have a great effect on team talks to be honest. If that were the case, you would think AM would already have told WS that he expects a better, more aggressive, stance in team talks to get them fired up. The piss-poor slow start to EVERY single game we play is an indictment of not just the players but also WS, AM, KM and Davie Wier as captain too. The last time I recall we actually came out and took a game by the scruff of the neck was at home to ICT last season IIRC, we were 3 up inside 25 mins and went on to win 5-0 having taken the foot off the gas after HT. I actually have no issue with taking the foot off the gas when the game is obviously won.... but to START a game in that vein is nigh on criminal.
Gribz 826
Because WS has a reputation to go out and not lose matches rather than winning them until we go a goal behind. WS is in charge at the moment so makes the choices regardless if AM is on the coaching staff. Surely AM has to have his own ideas in place for when he takes over and isnt going to rely on solely what he has learned from WS. And just something that AM said in an interview yesterday that he wasnt happy with the approach to the game, so hopefully this is one thing he is going to take into his job to make the players go out with a higher tempo from the 1st minute.

WS has said the same thing previously too, and it has made not a bit of difference.

Guest christophski
Can't believe you're sticking up for Weiss yet you give McCulloch and Miller absolute rollockings whenever you can. Miller and McCulloch have done more in their Rangers careers with their big toes than Weiss. What a letdown he's been. I do agree with Walters teamtalks before a game and at HT. Our 2nd half performances this season are miles better than our 1st half performances. So frustrating! Weiss attitude is shite aswell. He just seems to be the whipping boy these days. But he is consitently played put of position so Walter can shoe horn his faviorute players in regardless of form.
rbr 1,256
Yes he does Please explain , I am amazed when ever this line is trotted out , McCulloch might not be good enough but to accuse him of hiding is laughable .
Totti 0
Please explain , I am amazed when ever this line is trotted out , McCulloch might not be good enough but to accuse him of hiding is laughable . As I said already, he hides more than anybody. An entire game can go by without me noticing he's even there. IT's probably got more to do with him being a terrible footballer than any real attempt to 'hide', of course.

Sorry I have to agree with rbr, how you can say big jig hides is ridiculous, he may not be the best player we have or good enough but he's one of the most committed players we have. Now Davis that's another matter, he certainly hides, must be good picking up £20k a week and hardly breaking sweat during games......

Whosthedado 1,670
I think we all have players that we tend to single out if things arent going our way or we don't get a result. Steven Whittaker would be mine from yesterday but as others have said about Weiss Whittaker was playing out of position but I still thought he had a poor game and he is nowhere near the player he was last season
