Anyone fancy him? I have been really impressed with him in the games i have seen Killie play.

He always seems to have space and has an eye for the movement of other players.

He is on loan to Killie but only if no offers to buy come in.( I believe) I doubt he would cost very much.

Not really, females are more my type

Seriously though he does look a very decent player and I think he would complement our midfield. However I think his wages would be prohibitive - I think his Russian club are paying him a shed load of money.

To be honest Craig i was getting worried about you. You talk about your friend the personal trainer more than woman.;)

I have no idea what he is earning but I could really see him boosting our midfield. Simply because he can hold a ball and always seems to have space.

I think he looks a great player. Certainly outshone our midfield the other week.

Seems to have a good variety about his play - physical/strong in the tackle but a fine passer of the ball and shoots well. Yep, I'd take him.

Said on TV a few weeks ago that he's one of the top 5 paid players in the league, but that Killie are paying nowt.

You'd imagine that would be Metalist's idea that they're placing him in the British shop window - Tidy player, has been great on Football Manager for the last 4 or 5 years!!

He is on £20,00 a week with his own club , at present Killie are only paying him £1,000 with his club picking up the rest , add in a transfer fee and it's a no go Erimenko

Cracking player, but he's had some problems that are a little off-puting:-

  • He's had weight & fitness problems in recent years which have kept him from getting regular 1st team action for his clubs and also kept him out of the Finnish national side for a period.

  • Reportedly he's had discipline issues both on and off the pitch, getting him into trouble.

  • He's been done for drunk driving in recent years.

  • He failed to turn up for national duty and wouldn't answer his phone, instead getting in touch with the manager via a text message.

His club in the Ukraine, Metalist, sent him on loan to the team his dad manages in Finland to get games and sort himself out before loaning him to Killie. He maybe only got the loan to Mixu at Killie because his dad (who is also his agent) knows Mixu and knows he'll behave himself playing there.

Metalist would probably sell him, but to sign for us he'd probably need to be willing to take a pay cut. Assuming his problems are a thing of the past, I'd take a punt on him because he's a classy player.

His younger brother Roman who's also a midfielder would be an even better signing though. He plays for Dynamo Kiev and Finland and is a few years younger than Alexei.

If Metalist want rid of him then he may be a steel. We could send Davie Irons to negotiate and Gazza as his body guard in case he needs a copper.:o
