Gazza_8 233
Nothing on the BBC or SSN website but just received a text from my mate who lives up there and says the rumours are doing the rounds and the local press are jumping on the bandwagon too.
Gazza_8 233
It's official. Mark McGhee sacked as boss of AberdeenAberdeen Mark McGhee has been sacked as manager of Aberdeen with his side sitting second bottom of the Scottish Premier League table. The Dons said on their website that McGhee and assistants Scott Leitch and Colin Meldrum "have left the club". Chairman Stewart Milne said: "On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to thank Mark, Scott and Colin for their time at Aberdeen." He said details of interim arrangements would be announced shortly. Milne has not set a timescale for a permanent appointment. Beeb.
craig 5,199
I used to play golf with Colin Meldrum's Dad - top bloke. Shame his son ended up working alongside that diddy McGhee.

Super_Ally 0
What was the final straw? Apparently 9-0 v Celtic wasn't enough on its own?
pete 2,499
That is a pity Aberdeen were never so easy to beat as under McGhee.:meh:

metlika 0
Losing to Kilmarnock is probably why he was sacked an embarrassment .
Gribz 917
I thought they would keep him as they couldnt afford to sack him but I suppose relegation would have cost them more. Pity. Beeb says Calderwood may return which is surprising. Others linked are Butcher, John Hughes, Strachan and Gus McPherson.
Norris Cole 0
What happened to "but they can't afford to sack him"? I fear Aberdeen saved their season yesterday. Surely it's too big a step down for Strachan. I think they'll be lucky to get anyone better than Calderwood, who they hated.
