I think something Scotland lack nowadays is really strong old firm based players. Gone are the days of Goram, McCoist, McCall, Ferguson, Collins, Lambert etc. Throw in the likes of Calderwood and Hendry who would have run into a brick wall for the nation and we were always full of passion and tenacity, if lacking in much talent.

 

Now though I just see a lot of run of the mill championship level players who won't get us anywhere.

 

We went a step forward with WS where pride was restored and it felt like the Scotland of old who wouldn't give anyone an easy game. Now it's 2 steps back and we're shite again

If thats the future of Scotland then its more bleak than I thought. Its back to Vogts days when I cant even recognise players faces in the line up.

 

Im going to put some cash on Faroe's getting at least a draw.
