GAFFER confirms Kirk and Jig are available for Celtic clash

WALTER SMITH has confirmed that Lee McCulloch and Kirk Broadfoot will be fit to face Celtic at Parkhead this weekend.

The Rangers manager left both players out of his squad for Wednesday night's Champions League clash against Valencia but they have now been given the green light to return to action.

Smith also dismissed suggestions that Allan McGregor could miss the first Old Firm clash of the season due to a thigh strain.

He said: "I think Broadfoot and McCulloch will be ok for the weekend, they should be fully recovered from their recent injuries.

"I just didn't want to take a chance with them against Valencia and maybe put them back three or four weeks.

"I think the extra couple of days will mean that they are available for parkhead.

"As for Allan, I believe he he is ok and we expect him to be fine for Sunday."
