Gazza_8 233
Does following Scotland at home, away or both make you more Scottish than someone (like me) who doesn't goto or intend going to any Scotland games? The reason I'm asking is because I was having a "discussion" with a boy at work. He goes to most home matches depending on his shifts and some away games (shifts and money stopping him going to more) and was adamant he was "more Scottish" than me because I "don't want to support Scotland" which is a total lie. I ALWAYS want Scotland to win but for a few reasons I choose not to spend my money on watching them. Thoughts.
calscot 0
If that's the case then the population of Scotland has dropped from about 5M to about 30k.

Guest Buzz
Hahahahah. The guy is clearly insane! He's not some sort of fucking uberfan. Alot of people don't have money to throw about watching Scotland, especially with club football being expensive as it is.
Bluedell 5,679
Does it make him more Scottish than you? Definitely not. Does it make him a bigger fan of the Scottish national football side? Probably, but so what.
ian1964 10,761
Bollocks to the chunt. I am a ST holder at Ibrox because I can afford to have one,I don't get to all the games due to work commitments, but it doesn't make me a better fan than any other Rangers fan. As for Scotland I don't follow them the same as I do Rangers for the same reason, does that make me less of a fan??,I don't think so. I also know for a fact that a lot of the Tranny Army don't follow their club side the same as they follow Scotland, but don't forget they see following Scotland as an Holiday for most of the time.

I don't get that attitude. Are all fans the same? No. Work and finances don't stop me going to watch Scotland. I just don't care enough. I would still classify myself as a fan and want them to win, but when they lose, I've forgotten about it in 5 minutes. There is not the same highs and lows as there is in following Rangers. I'm a far bigger Rangers fan than I am a Scotland fan, and I don't have a problem in saying that. The guys who get much more involved with the Scotland team, either by spending time going to see the games and being more emotional are bigger fans than me. Likewise the guy whose only involvement with Rangers is switching on the TV at 5pm each Saturday and hoping that they have won are not as big fans as the guys like us who live and breathe it each day or the ones who go home and away each week. Super_Ally 0
You forgot to add the :fish: Bassa. Perhaps if my post had been a bit longer and more thought out I might have got a bite.
