We were named after an English Rugby club called simply The Rangers. When the English use the adjective 'Glasgow' it is seemingly to distinguish us from those upstarts, Queens Park Rangers. Why not 'London' or even 'Woolwich Arsenal'? Because they are famous enough in their own right. So it should be with us. And just for the record, I'm equally unhappy with Glasgow Keltic.
