Frankie 8,677
Has went very quite there but he is still at the club... Bit of a strange one.
OnlyOneAmoruso 0
Someone posted elsewhere that it turns out he is still under contract with his previous club. Not sure how reliable that source is but would explain the delay. I'd prefer to see more of Wylde to be honest.
Frankie 8,677
Ah missed that, thanks OOA. Kerkar does sound interesting and his less than impressive background suggests he must have done something special to win a move to us. I'd also like to see more of Wylde (and hopefully Fleck) this season but I'm firmly of the opinion competition should improve their contribution (on and off the park). If they're good enough, they'll be ahead of the Kerkar's of this world. If they're not, then they won't.

If he's still contracted you'd have to believe we knew that when we decided to try to sign him. You'd also have believe any club to which he was still contracted had to be involved in making him available for trial. Either way, I hope a deal is concluded soon.

Agree with that, but we're only going to see Wylde & Fleck appear in the Cups & maybe in the league if we're hammering a team. Outside that it'll take a build up of injuries and suspensions hitting us hard before they get starts in the league because Wylde plays LB & LM and we've got those positions pretty well covered with the surprising appearance of Broadfoot as decent enough LB cover & with us having LM well covered with Naismith, Weiss & even Lafferty. Not that keen on Lafferty playing at LM, but we all know Walter will play him there & he CAN be effective there if he plays well.

Age is on their side but patience may not. I can't see Naismith and Weiss not having weeks of missing games. Lafferty will deputise but given his own unreliability and injury-proneness that makes room for both Wylde and Fleck. They just have to take their chance when given it.
Zappa 0
I'll be happy enough to see Fleck step into central midfield if we have a crisis there through injuries and/or suspensions, but young Hutton may well be ahead of him after his recent display against Dunfermline.

There's a long season ahead though, so there's no guarantee they can keep up the good form.

I'm hoping a bit of reverse psychology will stop any jinx on him!
