Cotter 0
That's the second time I've seen the boy. A near impeccable performance. I counted ONE miss-placed pass the whole game and our very own commentator (Mr. Miller) managed a count of two . He has an assured style coupled with athleticism and his performance tonight completely eclipsed anything Edu has managed this season. I thought he was far and away man of the match and I'd just like to nip in there first and say that he's a player:)
Tannochsidebear 2,482
I thought he put in a very mature and accomplished performance and would have given him MOTM if not for Kyle's hat-trick. Obviously the quality of oppo is less than we normally play, but his desire to get the ball off the back line and play it forward, even going past players when he could, was something I could easily get used to seeing again and again! I dont expect him to play on Sunday, but I hope to see more starts for the boy in the not too distant future.
Guest Scotland11
Agree. He looked good last night. I particularly liked him taking the ball and moving forward with it, advancing possession up the park. Lets hope he gets some more SPL playing time and we allow him to develop. Signs are good so far.
Zappa 0
I can't help wondering if he's the type of partner Davis needs along side him to really shine in central midfield. They certainly combined well last night.
Guest Scotland11
He might just be. Right now if we are playing a central 2, I'd be going with Davis and McCulloch. Davis and Edu just doesn't provide enough bite in midfield. Hutton may be the natural replacement for McCulloch in a couple of years - much, obviously depending on how he progresses. At the least it provides further depth to central mid.
stewarty 2,093
I thought he had a cracking game. With more games he will hopefully settle into first-team life and provide us with more midfield options.
bluedan 93
Yet to see the lad, but it's refreshing to see one of the young boys come through. At least we can be pretty sure, like Alexander, he'll play in all the league cup games so a good chance for him.
Gribz 1,154
Never seen the lad play. Is he more of a holding midfielder? Someone who puts tackles in? Creative?
Frankie 8,843
Never seen the lad play. Is he more of a holding midfielder? Someone who puts tackles in? Creative? Hutton is an orthodox midfield player. One who can do a variety of jobs but concentrating on tackling strongly and passing the ball well. He's certainly built for the task.
gisabeer 409
smith will never take a chance on the lad and give him a proper run. kyle has also showed signs of talent when called apon but our manager stuck by lafferty in his position even though he was decidedly crap there. dont hold your breath folks.
