MoodyBlue 0
Team we have now would be near the relegation zone in EPL - certainly bottom 6 or 7 IMO.
rbr 1,270
Danny is plainly meaning the team we have just now; and that team would get walloped! No disrespect to Danny but it's a completely pointless arguement

Danny 0
It's not pointless, it's a valid way of comparing the upper sphere of the SPL against the upper levels of England. Boro have a major OF influence and are struggling, which suggests as things stand, the SPL really is miles behind the Championship and the OF are barely at the level of it. As for ACTUALLY going there, sure, we might get better players etc, but that's not really what I'm getting at. Thanks to WGS' hardon for OF players, we can see what might happen if the current squads of the OF joined the Championship. And it shows how far behind we are.
Danny 0
Don't really need to canvas opinion to know that much. True. And I hope both of you are meaning the Championship as well. We would clearly struggle.

How many Middlesborough players from their team on Saturday would get in our team for tomorrow night?
Danny 0
How many Middlesborough players from their team on Saturday would get in our team for tomorrow night? Thomson, McDonald, Robson and possibly Anus.
Bluedell 5,716
Thomson, McDonald, Robson and possibly Anus. Thomson wasn't playing. McDonald in front of Miller? No thanks. Robson in front of who? McManus in front of who? Bougherra? No way. Weir? Based on the Scotland game, Weir looked the better player. So a maximum of 2 (possibly), and even then they're not automatic picks. I don't see that a struggling Middlesborough team reflects badly on Rangers ability to hold their own against the lower end of the EPL or the top Championship teams.
rbr 1,270
How can you compare us with teams that get a £40 million head start , we are where we are they are where they are , you are just as well comparing us with the bundesliga or La Liga , it's pointless and as for the C/L we are only there for the money and 3rd place at best , we cannot compete it aint rocket science
Danny 0
How can you compare us with teams that get a £40 million head start , Teams in the Championship don't get a £40M head start. we are where we are they are where they are , you are just as well comparing us with the bundesliga or La Liga , it's pointless and as for the C/L we are only there for the money and 3rd place at best , we cannot compete it aint rocket science You seem to be confusing the EPL with the Championship. But you're right, we can't compete. Not even with most teams in the Championship.
