pete 2,511
Meanwhile defender Krister Wemberg, who spent a week on trial at Rangers this month, is waiting on an answer over a possible move to the SPL. The young Norwegian defender, currently with Moss FK, spent a week on trial at Murray Park two weeks ago. Wemberg trained with the Glasgow clubââ?¬â?¢s reserve side during his short spell, while the first team headed off to Australia for a pre-season tour. But it seems as if the 18-year-old did enough to impress, with his agent, Jim Solbakken, saying he is still in talks over the possible transfer. ââ?¬Å?We will speak with Rangers and hope for clarification this week,ââ?¬Â Solbakken told Moss Avis. ââ?¬Å?We will see what happens. There is interest there because we are still talking.ââ?¬Â Anyone know anything about this? I haven't seen or read anything about him. I done a search on the main Rangers sight and came up with nothing.
Frankie 8,843
Yeah, his name has been in the news a couple of times for the last few weeks. Nothing more than the above though.
True_Ger_1872 2
Did all 4 trialists not play against Partick Thistle at Murray Park and apparently Walter came out and said it was unlikley any would be given contracts? Not sure if this was just paper talk though..

That was an article in the Evening Times and said as much without a single quote from WS.

Yeah, 4 did but IIRC the defender wasn't one of them - it was Barazite, Welcome, Esajas and Kerkar; with only the former perhaps in with a chance of getting a deal now we've signed Weiss and Jelavic.
calscot 0
Now we have Weiss, if we took on Barazite I could foresee another Aaron situation with all the criticism it attracts. He'd be a young squad filler with potential, but Walter's priorities would quite rightly be all about winning trophies and competing as well as we can in Europe. Even if he does get a run of games, there will be outcries of why Fleck isn't being developed seeing as he's actually our player etc. It's a no win situation unless we can really use him to improve our results, so maybe best left alone...
CraigRFC 0
I can remember when it announced that he was coming on trial but never heard anything after that and forgot all about it
