Actually, as Celtic are a PLC they are governed by LSE rules which means that they wouldnt be allowed to make deliberately misleading statements to the public who could be basing investing decisions upon that info. Now, that said, Reid would have made a vague enough statement that he could probably defend what he said - he didnt specify Mowbray when talking about termination of contracts so could probably say it was other staff's contracts if pushed on it.
