What a terrible terrible attitude, from ignoring the initial post and any form of answering of substance to making up lies* to casting back months for unrelated incidents.

Boyd could've been a legend with us if he stayed. He done great for us though but has now moved on. Good luck to him but IMO he will struggle to score half the goals he did up here in the team he is at, and I don't think they will go up anytime soon. Maybe he will prove me wrong only time will tell.....

What he actually said was that he did not see any paper offer. All that means is that the contract had not been drawn up. Why draw up a contract, pay a lawyer to do so, if you dont know that the player will sign? Boyd was trying to disguise to a degree his mercenary nature.

 

I can appreciate that others dont agree with the stance and if you check back you will find not a single instance of me making any form of judgement on other people for holding their beliefs. If you hold no malice, fine, good even, but if you want the right to make up your own mind you cant be surprised when others do the same and it clashes with your own. Other people, however, are hell of a quick to put it down to FF attitudes, or warped vision and are now even saying it is **** like behaviour. How the fuck anyone on here can criticise FF for it's attitude while behaving like that is well and truly beyond me. There are even numbers of people argueing all points over there, just like here, the difference is it is not being put down to which board someone decides to post on, it is being put down to people having different opinions.

 

Boyd walked away for free to a championship club to get more money when he could have stayed and become very wealthy or left and become very wealthy while making us �£3 million profit and gone to a prem club. There is absolutely no debate there, that is 100% what happened. You have no problem with that behaviour from a self proclaimed Rangers man. I do. I am acting like a **** though. great.

You can't try and take a moral or intellectual high ground when you start out by diggind people up for using smilies on an internet forum. I'm quite unsure as to why people do that.

 

Often the inference of a statement can be lost in written medium on the internet. These can be quickly and easily intimated through the use of smilies.

 

Again I am unsure what people think they are demonstrating by attacking people for using them. Often the sign of someone with no actual arguement themselves.

Kris Boyd was offered the chance to make the club �£3.5 million last Jan, while moving to a better side than one he did, with a former Rangers manager and with a team not managed by and filled with scum.

 

kris Boyd decided, of his own free will, to sit tight and fuck us over during a period of extreme financial difficulty puely and solely to get himself more money. Not a lot more money, certainly not alot more than Brum offered, and debatably not a huge amount more than we offered, but for a little more money.

 

Kris Boyd is a 'Rangers fan'.

So let me get this straight... Kris Boyd was duty bound to accept an offer from Birmingham simply because it would have made the club money ? So he was to accept a deal in the best interests of the club ? Why should he ? What does/did he owe the club ? Why should he not wait and accept a deal which he feels right for him.

 

There are so many things wrong with your statement above that I barely know where to start.

 

• Boyd may have felt he would get better offers than Brum
  
• Boyd may have actually felt like he would get an offer at Gers that he would accept and therefore stay
  
• Boyd may have actually wanted to stay and help the club win the championship
  
• Boyd may have felt that the club would be bought, returned to an even keel financially, and then would be stable enough to stay
  

 

There are a plethora of reasons why a) Boyd turned down Brum and b) why he ultimately decided on signing for Middlesborough - but "fucked the club over" - fuck me that is a HUGE stretch in my opinion.

 

Maybe I am in the minority here - but in this day and age I really do struggle with how we can still be filled with so much hatred for a team where the only gripe we can possibly have is that they are managed by an EX Celtic manager and with a few EX Celtic players - emphasis on the word EX. NONE of them are at Celtic anymore - so why the fuck should we get all so hot under the collar about it. It really defies any logic I have, obviously this is my personal opinion - but we dont play against Middlesborough, we arent competing with them, we dont have any history with them as far as I am aware - yet we all of a sudden HATE them because they have a few EX Tims on their books. Unbelievable, it really is.

 

I doubt that Boyd sat there in Jan 2009 and said "You know what, I will stay with Gers for another 18 months and then will sign for a team that has a bunch of ex Tims on their books and will screw Rangers out of this cash" - a big stretch, very big stretch. In fact, even if he had the more plausible thought of "I will stay at Rangers and see out my contract and then sign with someone else" why shouldnt he ? What loyalty does he have to the club when the club were more than happy to sell him 18 months ago ? A bit hypocritical wouldnt you agree ?

 

By the way, I bet it IS a LOT more money he got himself - because I bet he got a fair chunk of change as a signing on fee. Anyway, even if it ISNT for a LOT more money - it is his entitlement that he does as he pleases. Why shouldnt he ? Because you or I say so ?

 

And the piece de la resistance - "Kris Boyd is no Rangers fan". Really ? And that is because he moved on for more financial security than we could offer, for more money than we could offer. Again, why does it make him less of a fan just because he looked after himself first and foremost. Most of us would and there really isnt much debate surrounding that.

 

And yet Lovenkrands gets a heroes welcome today when he did the EXACT same thing as Boyd 3 or 4 years ago. You really couldnt make up the irony or the hypocritical nature of some of us Bears.

 

But the anti-Boyd bile that SA posted from FF really is stuff of Tim proportions.

 

Kris Boyd did not put the club where it is financially - so why the fuck we should expect him to partially bail us out to his own personal detriment is beyond me.
