Seems Strachan must think that the best Scottish based players are firstly of the required quality to top the Championship and secondly of much better value than can be found in England.

The question is, has he gauged it correctly? It seems a big gamble to try and get into the EPL with pretty much a top SPL side. I think it's going to be very interesting to see what happens with Middlesbrough this season as it will be an indication on how well the OF could do down there if we were given the chance.

He's a reasonably successful, ex-Celtic manager with a load of ex-OF players and cherry picks from the rest of the SPL along with other players that until recently, weren't out of the reach of the OF.

It's about as near as a Rangers or Celtic team you'll see in the Championship and I can't help hoping they'll do really well. I'm optimistic that the SPL while nowhere near the top of the EPL, isn't that bad compared to the second tier in England as we're in really deep shit if that doesn't bare true.
