Guest Flying Hippo
Would agree with your first sentence. Not the remainder though I don't mean that because he's a Celtic fan, he wouldn't try as hard for us. I mean that he wouldn't be committed when it came to contract renewal time. As he has proven. Rather ironic that Fleck, who started half the games Wilson did last season, signed his new contract but Wilson rejected his. Remind me who supports who?
Gazza_8 233
Test himself against the best reserve players in England? And you know he'll be a reserve? I always think this "test themselves" and "bigger challenge" stuff always sounds a bit strange. You mean he wants to play against the best in the world have the piss taken out of him, be run ragged and made to look crap and stupid, while being at the wrong end of a good drubbing? Again, you know this how?
calscot 0
And you know he'll be a reserve? Didn't say he definitely would be. How do you know he won't? How do you know he could have done no more last season? How do you know he hardly made a single mistake (I saw a fair few)? And How the hell do you know he wants to test himself againt the best? Shouldn't he be looking towards the Spanish league then? Or a Dutch team? It's easy to ask "how do you know" at every assertion... In MY opinion, if he signs for Liverpool, he's not likely to be a no 1 choice for the first team. I think he'll be seen as someone for the future and backup. I may be wrong but I really don't think I'm my opinions are outrageously off the mark. Again, you know this how? I think my quip was self evident and adequately explained. Unless he's one of the top defenders in the world, playing for one of the top teams, he is unlikely to play well against the best teams and best strikers in the world. I don't think he's ready to pass muster against the best. Not many 18 year olds are, especially from Scotland. He hasn't looked THAT exceptional to me and I think you will be in the minority if you think he is.

bmck 117
I think we can all agree that he looks exceptional for an 18 year old, that this doesn't mean he's top class yet, and could play week in week out against the best strikers in the world, but doesn't rule out the possibility that he may become top class and one day could. Guest Flying Hippo
Not many 18 year old do to be honest , you dont really want much do you Obviously he was impressive, no one can deny that, but i don't believe he was AS impressive as quite a lot of people claim. I remember him having a nightmare in the 0-0 cup draw at St Mirren, not to mention McDiarmid Park
