While I agree with you about playing Weir in the CL, I see absolutely no reason as to why he shouldn't play every league game. He's been absolutely awesme for us and at no point last season did he show any signs of slowing up (CL aside).

 

I'd have him in my starting XI every single Saturday.

There were definate signs towards the end of the season that Weir was feeling the pace imo

Playing in every SPL game (don't know about the domestic cups) would take it out of the fittest 25 year old. Just listen to all the prima donnas down in the EPL who moan about playing twice a week.

May well have simply been the amount of games he'd played rather than his age, you're right. Though we certainly conceded a lot more goals in the final few weeks of the season than we had done throughout the rest of the season

Perhaps because the title was wrapped up and the players eased off the gas?
