I must admit van Bummel was involved in a stamping incident in the first half that should have been red.

Sneijder could also have been shown red when de Zeeuw got kicked in the face, for grabbing the guy around the face or neck.

Gazza. Robben had to keep diving against Brazil and Uruguay otherwise his ankles would be pulp. The Silky soccer Brazil have become a bunch hackers.

At least it's not just me who noticed Robbens diving. I don't agree with "Robben had to keep diving" at all. That's cheating!

I think Holland will find it tough against either Germany or Spain, Germany in particular as Spain still seem a bit short of top form this tournament while the Germans appear unstoppable. However I also think they have a real advantage now they'll have a day's extra rest, having played no extra time, and enjoying the luxury of going into the final with no injuries or suspensions. One thing I've always disliked about the big tournaments is the two yellow card rule. Every time one of these competitions come round we're inevitably robbed of seeing some of the best players at the business end of the tournament - often the final - due to pernickty refs dishing out cards for nothing. Germany will be without one of the players of the tournament in Thomas Muller tonight - anyone who saw his booking against Argentina will know what I'm on about. If refs are going to officiate like they do these days, they should raise the yellow card threshold to three.

I thought they changed it so that your team's card tally was wiped prior to the semi finals so that none of the players on yellows could miss the final by getting a yellow in their semi match??? Is that right?

Best team went through.

How much of a prat was that commentator tonight? You'd think he has something against van Bommel the amount of times he aimed some sarcasm at him. Pillock!

Me and my wee bro were trying to figure out if he'd shagged the comentators missus or something. I missed much of the Brazil game and yes van Bommel had a few bad fouls but the commentary was verging on unprofessional. If the biggest complaint is that van Bommel didn't get a yellow he might have against Brazil then the ref's not done a bad job. Far worse errors normally occur.

Cant believe I woke up at 2:30am just to be let down on that game. It was awful.

Germany missed Mueller, their flow couldnt get going.

Bit of a bullet header from Puyol though. They havent played well this tournament but are still in the final.

C'mon the Dutch.

Neither the Netherlands nor Spain have played particularly well yet are both in the final

Pretty much backs up the belief that this has been far from a classic World Cup
